Ashley is the hand and face behind The Knotty Burner. She currently lives/works with her boyfriend and dog, in Cranston, RI. Ashley is a huge fan of Star Wars and Harry Potter. Plays WoW and D&D with her boyfriend and friends.
How It Happened
Since Ashley was young, she had a strong interest in art. It has been something that she could use, to express and share her view of the world. She had used a variety of mediums, before deciding to try her hand at woodburning and purchased her first Walnut Hollow Creative Versa Tool, in 2016. The first burn was awkward, and a hot mess (no pun intended), which was slightly discouraging as an artist. After a year-long hiatus, Ashley picked up the tool again, was instantly hooked.
Many commissions later, the idea of creating a business with this new love for wood burning, was just that, an idea. Until with the support of her boyfriend, family and friends, The Knotty Burner was created in 2018.
Ashley lives for enjoying, creating, and supporting art. She loves using lots of color, bold lines, strong contrasts, and whimsical compositions.
